(note: the message below is beautiful and positive, but today it was announced that his medical situation has deteriorated and he still needs our tefillot. They have added the name "Chizkiyahu" to the beginning of his name, making it, Chizkiyahu Dovid Avraham ben Feiga)
Translation:
Hello to my brothers and friends among the people of Israel:
I owe thanks to Hashem for saving my life on Rosh Hashana, when I was between heaven and earth. I should thank the resourcefulness of his faithful messengers, the doctors, the family and the friends who saved my life, my son and daughter had to go to Ramat Bet Shemesh A via Road 10 in order to get the name of the new head of donors in Yeshivat Haleviim on Mt. Carmel in order to get the necessary donation. He then phoned the son located in Rambam Hospital in Haifa who traveled right away to Yeshivat Haleviim on Mt. Carmel to receive the blood donation.
Since receiving the blood donation, there has been a turn in my situation. On SHabbat SHuva I was already able to say over to my son who was beside me in Rambam Hospital the main points of my Shabbat Shuva speech. Since then there has been a consistent improvement from day to day. The problem had been that a strong infection had gotten in, and because after the transplant the immune system was not functioning, and the transplant had not yet taken, the infection caused a life-threatening situation. Regardless, there is now a daily improvement and I need your prayers. First, I thank you for the morning of erev Rosh Hashana when a large portion of the members of the Ohel Yona Menachem shul under the guidance of my friend Rav Avishai David fasted until mid-day for my health, and that brought me to tears. At the end of the fast, at mid-day of erev Rosh Hashana, my wife called to her friend from the community and told her that there is a significant improvement and it amazed her that that was at the same time of the conclusion of the fast of the community.
How fortunate you are, how fortunate is your lot!
I also wanted to give thanks for your prayers full of tears that you poured out for me on Rosh Hashana. it is said that no tears are returned empty-handed.
Thank you to the chazzanim of Ohel Yona Menachem for the recording they prepared for me after SHabbat. It made me very emotional, and it brought back for me some of the beautiful tefillot in the shul.
From Haifa, the city of the Prophet Eliyahu, I bless all of Israel from all the groups that all are helping in an an abnormal way, and for sure the members of our community, with the response of Eliyahu, "he will turn back the hearts [to God] of the fathers for the sons.."..
And we should remember tht Yom Kippur does not give forgiveness until one appeases his friend. All jews are friends! This is something we see regularly and for sure at a time of distress and we see how each person wants to help the other, so have a good year and a chatima tova...
I love you very much, Dovid Avraham Spektor
