F1 2016 App Review For iOS, Android

F1 2016 had the honour of being showcased during an Apple keynote. The technical achievements alone don't make a great game. What sets F1 apart is that it generates fun and excitement without getting old because there are so many ways to enjoy it regardless of your level of experience with racing games.

The controls in the mobile version of F1 2016 are dramatically simplified with four different control schemes. Two of the setups use a combination of on-screen controls and your smartphone's accelerometer for controlling steering, while the other two use only on-screen controls. As promised, Codemasters released a mobile version of its latest Formula One racing game, F1 2016. Now, the official video game of the 2016 FIA Formula One World Championship can be played on tvOS, iOS, and Android devices.

F1 2016 brings along all the current cars, drivers, and tracks, so that alone makes it a great game for those who follow the sport, [ Best F1 Apps For iPhone, iPad]. Being able to race as Hamilton in the all-powerful Mercedes in Spa is definitely a treat you can't get from other games. If you don't follow the sport closely, you'll still benefit by the licensing because the game's 21 official circuits are pretty fantastic (well, almost all of them) and very fun to race in. The game offers a full Season mode, where you can race all 21 circuits in a row. You can do a full race weekend, which includes Practice, Qualifying, and Race Day. You can pick one of the four different control styles when you start. There are 2 tilt options and 2 touch options, one of each lets you control the acceleration while the other takes that out of your hands. There are also a variety of assets to keep you on the right track. If you are looking for a more authentic play through or as authentic as you can get on a phone, then you can turn these off. There are plenty of options in terms of how long you want spend in each mode; for instance, you can do an 8 minute or 15 minute practice, and a 1 lap or 3 lap qualifying session, or even a 3 round qualifying session. Race day is equally customize-able, and you can do from a 1-lap race up to the full 100% race which is usually more than 60 laps. Although the 100% race is a great challenge, make sure you plug your phone in because this game goes through your battery quite quickly.

In addition to the Season mode, there's also a Custom Season, where you can pick which races make up your season, a Quick Race on a single circuit, a full race weekend on a single track, Time Trial, where you race for leaderboards position, and a Weekly Event, which gives you a track and a driver and has you competing with others. As you can see, there's no lack of ways to race in F1 2016. If a car does break down, you might get a safety-car intervention.

There are a number of various modes but actual thrust of experience comes through career mode. You can choose, one of the drivers season 2016 and then play with the same driver through complete year (career). This includes practice, qualifying and race itself. The controls of game work well especially touch ones but if you like tilting mode, then you can even find it a better experience. The best thing about F1 2016 is there are no in app purchases. This was the best decision Codemasters made by far. I'd happily fork over twice the amount as a racing game has very high replay value.
