I was pretty impressed with this app. I never look at the permissions when I download an app to my devices. This opened my eyes a bit when I saw everything laid out. This app clearly lays out what apps are using what permissions. It is broken up into categories like “Can Cost Me Money”, “Can Impact Battery” “Can See Personal Info” and “Can See Location Info”. It shows the app and how many permissions it has. If you click on it, you get a menu with options so see the info, permissions, you can rate the app adjust the settings and even uninstall it right from here. As an example, I have an app that says there are 2 permissions that can cost me money. When I click and view the permissions, the permissions that can cost me money are highlighted. The two are that it can send an SMS text and make a phone call without using the dialer. If I didn’t have an unlimited plan, those could cost me. This particular app is a testing app so I am aware of what it does.
It is amazing what apps need to operate. I am generally OK with most of the info that is used. If you are a little more wary of what is being seen by what, download the FREE app in the Play Store and check it out for yourself.
