Extra Large Yoga Mat Bag Review and 2 Giveaways!

By Debi Lantzer @debiL1611

I was finally able to get back to yoga again just a few weeks ago. The instructor, Becky, is a member of my church and she offers two yoga practices a week, so I've been trying to make it there at least once a week. The first thing I noticed was that my old cute yoga mat was just too thin for the concrete floor at my church. Maybe it was okay before my accident, but right now I needed something thicker.

I headed out to my local big box store and picked up an exercise mat instead of a yoga mat, and ended up with a mat that was 10mm thick (that's about a half inch for those of you not in the metric world). I tried it out at yoga and it was perfect, but the only problem was that the closure strap that came with the mat had a velcro malfunction and wouldn't stay shut and the rubber band I used in its place snapped, so I didn't have anything to carry the mat in to and from practice. I looked around at the various yoga mat bags online or even in my neighborhood stores, and unfortunately, due to the size of the mat, I was out of luck. I figured I would just have to fashion something homemade so that I could gather this mat shut and bring it with me to yoga practice.

.......and then I saw the Limber Stretch Extra Large Yoga Mat Bag being offered for a product review, it looked big enough to actually use, so I signed up to get one! When the bag arrived, I immediately loved the color - mine is the vintage navy blue color - but it also comes in a nice light gray color.

The first thing I noticed was that the zipper goes all the way up and around, which means it also opens up really wide when you unzip it. The dimensions listed for this bag are 28″ x 8″, but honestly, it seemed even bigger than that to me. I placed the exercise mat in, and the bag zipped right up without any problems. I was also able to add a yoga towel and a paperback book in the outside pocket. Limber Stretch lists the brands of yoga mats this bag will hold, although I didn't test their list: Manduka, Gaiam, Bean, Kulae, Aurorae, Jade and Hugger Mugger yoga mats.

The Limber Stretch Extra Large Yoga Mat Bag is made of eco-friendly 100% cotton material. They had the planet in mind when they created their bags and a very serious about being green whenever possible. Because this bag is so big, it is clear that they didn't just make it for yoga. I could fit so much in this extra large bag, and the nice thick and comfortable strap makes it very easy to carry. The cotton itself is nice and thick so nothing is going to be jabbing out of the bag.

This Limber Stretch bag has been carefully designed in the UK, we design every aspect of all of our products from material to stitching and then we have our designs brought to life by our partner manufacturer in China.
