The Isle of Mull is one of the southern islands in Scotland, located a mere 45 minutes (approx.) from Oban via ferry. It is home to Tobermory (aka Balamory) and is the gate way to the Isle of Iona. I had hoped to visit a lot more islands in Scotland, more specifically Harris or Lewis for their beautiful beaches. As per normal time ran out and I had to choose and island closer to Glasgow, the choice fell to the Isle of Mull because I wanted to see the colourful buildings in Tobermory. Little did I realize just how beautiful the beaches and landscape of Mull would be. We spent a long afternoon and the following morning exploring the whole of the island. It really was picturesque and showed off Scotland at its best… might have helped that the sun came out both days.
