One of the best parts of attending the many jewelry shows where Raymond Lee Jewelers exhibits is getting to know our fellow exhibitors. Every show from Miami to Hong Kong features elite dealers of fine art, jewelry and antiques, and we love to survey the treasures they bring along with them. At least week’s Miami Beach Antique Show, we snagged an interview with Cory of Mantiques Modern, and at this week’s Naples Art, Antique and Jewelry Show, Phillip of M.S. Rau Antiques took the time to chat with Raymond Lee Jewelers.
M.S. Rau is located in New Orleans’ French Quarter, where it has become a Mecca for discerning collectors over the past 100 years. Their 30,000 square foot warehouse is home to everything from Paul Revere sterling silver to Renoir paintings, and has dealt in fine antiques since they first opened their doors in 1912. To this day the company is run by the Rau family, now operated by third generation antiques expert Bill Rau.
Below, Phillip showcases one of the fine paintings M.S. Rau brought to Naples, and explains what makes it so significant:
