Everyday Objects by OKUM Made

Los Angeles, California-based product and furniture Daniel Okum of OKUM Made (and his 233 supporters!) can finally leap for joy. Six days ago, Okum's Kickstarter project for The Made Collection, his first, was successfully funded (and topping his intended goal, at that).

A beautiful and simple series of everyday objects that "emphasize material and craftsmanship through form," The Made Collection is comprised of four handmade products—Pinocchio Salt & Pepper Shakers, SQ Trivet, Paddle Coathooks, and V Tray & Bowl. Backers can expect to receive OKUM's first batch of goods this May, but non-backers will eagerly have to wait until a second production date is announced.

Pinocchio S&P Shakers-You'd think these salt and pepper shakers were more of a decorative object than actual carriers of salt and spice. Made of American Walnut and Hard White Maple and finished in a water-based polyurethane clear coat.
