HIVER TO ATTEND THE BBC GOOD FOOD SHOW BIRMINGHAM
Hiver Honey Beer and Honey Ale will be at BBC Good Food Show Birmingham 24 – 27 November 2016 at the NEC.
Hiver was founded and created by Hannah Rhodes in 2013 and was born out of an admiration for London’s urban beekeepers and a passion for craft beer.
Hiver sources raw honey from independent British beekeepers; Urban London, English Blossom and Heather. Beekeepers say that good quality honey should not be pasteurised, the same way that brewers talk about good quality beer. The fact that bees forage in a three mile radius to the hive, means that the three honeys Hiver source from are as varied and unique as the malted barley and hops that are picked during the recipe development stage.
In addition to showcasing the range of honey beers, Hiver will be selling a gift voucher which entitles the recipient to join Hiver at Bee Urban London and get hands on for the full Hiver Experience. The gift voucher is made from seeded paper and can be planted to grow into wildflowers that are great forage for Bees!
Owner Hannah comments “At just six months in, Hiver had been awarded ‘Britain’s Next Top Supplier’ by Ocado as judged by Tom Kerridge and I really wanted to make the most of the opportunity to shout about the award but didn’t have the funds for the really high stall fees at many events. The BBC Good Food Show run the BBC Good Food Champions area and they offered Hiver a spot at a much reduced price and it enabled me to be able to start telling people about Hiver and offer them the chance to taste for the first time. It was such a thrill and an opportunity that I’ll be forever grateful for. All kinds of good things have come from attending the Shows and we can’t wait for Winter 2016, where we’ll be celebrating our third birthday and launching our Christmas gift-packs, glassware and the Hiver Experience Gift Vouchers.”
Hiver can be found at stand G50 at to the BBC Good Food Show Birmingham 24 – 27 November 2016 at the NEC. The Show promises to set visitors up for the perfect festive, foodie season. The Show wouldn’t be complete without a stellar line up – Paul Hollywood, Raymond Blanc, Mary Berry and the Hairy Bikers cooking live on stage, plus Saturday Kitchen Live sessions hosted by local chef Glynn Purnell. Visitors can stock up on all the treats and tipples they’ll need to see them through the winter in the various shopping areas around the Show.
