Evening Calls

   Walking in the backstreets of Padstow, heading to the port : a telephone box was casting interesting shade over a large wall. Some people were passing by.  A strange procession of shadows, was adding to the unknown and the secrets that have certainly crossed this box, while the evening was coming.
This subject was also a good pretext to work around blues & yellows…

As told in previous post, I was trying different techniques on Fabriano watercolor paper. I will maybe restrict the technics to watercolor with this one, even though pastel is working well with this surface… I would say that this bright surface is really having nice effects with the water medium, while it tends to be just a rough surface after few pastel layers.

Experimenting is, in all cases, an exciting practice… and very good to learn on the medium!
