After Miletus, let me take you to a place called Didyma.
Didyma was an ancient Greek sanctuary on the coast of Ionia. It contained a temple of Apollo, the Didymaion, whose design was influenced by the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus and the Temple of Hera at Samos. Of the 122 Ionic columns that surrounded it, only three remain intact today. Each is 18 metres tall.
Next to Delphi, Didyma was the most renowned oracle of the Hellenic world.
