Enjoy the Panama International Air Show #TheWeeklyPostcard

By Aswesawit @aswesawit

Dear Luke and Leia,

What a fantastic day we had at the Panama International Air Show today! This air show takes place every year at the Panama Pacifico International Airport (known as Howard Air Force Base back when the Canal Zone was occupied by the United States).

Model planes lined up for spectators to see.

Just about every form of air transport was there, from private jets to helicopter — and even a flock of model planes took to the skies!

Model jet fighters

I enjoy models so the motorized jet fighters captivated me the most. They were lightning fast and performed maneuvers that I don’t think real pilots could do, all just by using a remote control.

Buzzed!

The organizers added a flyby from a real Copa Airlines passenger jet to add to the show. Copa is Panama’s national airline.

More of the fun

There were even more fun things to do, including fantastic foods, climbing aboard military helicopters and making and flying your own paper airplane.

Children aboard a national guard helicopter.

Little boy launches his plane at the airport.

Even big kids get into the action.

It was so much fun watching the kids make and fly their creations.

This boy ‘landed’ his plane in the airport and celebrates.

Nana made one and ‘landed’ it in a target of David airport.

Linda give it a try as one of the big kids.

I hope you guys enjoyed the pictures from our day. We miss you guys.
Love,

Nana and Pap
