This weekend, we had our first major snowfall of the season. Winnipeg, my city, landed 25 cm.

I love fresh snow and the crisp sound it makes when I walk in it. It actually is one of my favorite things to do this time of the year.

Yesterday, as I was busy enjoying the untrodden bit I have in my backyard and snapping a few shots of my neighborhood, I suddenly realized that there was someone who was having even more fun than me: Sophie, my youngest pet.

The playfulness I captured in the picture you see above is priceless. It made me think of how excited we get when we discover something new.

Actually, Sophie reminds me a lot of the supporters I have had all these years. She is loyal and caring. And she shows it in ways that always surprise me.

There are valuable lessons to learn from the animals in our lives. Paying attention to the way they react to voices and moods, in particular, will allow you to understand human beings and business better. I know it has worked for me.

At the end of the day, it boils down to the simplest of things: emotions. It is about how you can help your followers connect with your journey through your work.

Sometimes, all it takes is a walk in the snow…
