Pete was a friend and mentor to us and especially to Pat. She was with Pete and his family and helped to sing Pete on his way back to Toshi . . .Throughout the week, we sang together with Pete's family. We gathered with the Beacon community to sing his songs, as so many did in their communities around the world. And we wrote 'Sing People Sing', Pat's tribute to Pete. Pat started it the day after Pete passed and, on Sunday, we sang it at the small, local visitation to remember him. People started singing along with the chorus:Oh, hear the banjo ring Hear the people sing Hope changes everything Sing people sing"Click here to watch the video. |
