EllaHarp Faces Reality On Spellbinding New "Bittersweet" Single
In the San Francisco Bay area, a powerful, introspective voice find's it's muse in harpist singer songwriter EllaHarp, a musician whose mournful melodies and penetrating lyricism put her in a league of her own. Her previous single "Screaming Into The Void" communicated the darker sides of creativity and technology - is there anybody out there??? Her new single "Bittersweet" is another wondrous thought-provoker and a quote from the artist has been provided below.
'When I was 19, I moved from sunny Los Angeles to Glasgow, Scotland to study harp. I knew nothing and no one there, but jumped at fairy tale possibilities of the old country. They speak English, how different can it be? (ha. ha ha) Que extreme culture shock and 4, somewhat miserable years of challenging education and social disconnect. 'Bittersweet' is about recognizing that reality differs from idyllic imagination, and following through with the choices you've made.'
"Bittersweet" Lyrics
Bittersweet, rain and sleet
Gray is the color that the evening wore
To see the fear upon you rise
Waste thought waste breath
The days go by
Fill all your letters up with lies
Fill all your letters up with lies
And it's bittersweet
Bittersweet
And it's bittersweet
Bittersweet
White paper lying in the street
Bitter kind, fight the mind
Fight for the feeling when the music finds you
Fight all the demons that you cannot see
What, what what will they be
Reach for the moments in between
Reach for the meaning in between
And you'll grow
With all your yes's and your no's
You'll grow
Live with everything you chose
You grow
You live with everything you chose
Live with everything you chose
But it's bittersweet
It's bittersweet
And it's bittersweet
It's bittersweet
White paper lying in the street
It's bittersweet
