Eleven Great Black Friday Sales

By Dieworkwear @dieworkwear

As many readers know, I write for Put This On, and just finished rounding up about 135 Black Friday sales for the site’s Inside Track members. There’s a lot to go through in there, so I thought I’d pull eleven that I particularly like. Included here are things that aren’t easily found on discount throughout the year, such as Barbour jackets and Filson bags, as well as a number of great deals for men on tighter budgets, such as Club Monaco sweaters and J. Crew jackets. Enjoy.

  • End: 20% off taken at checkout. Tons of great stuff here by brands such as Nanamica, Orlebar Brown, Barbour, Common Projects, Engineered Garments, Howlin’ by Morrison, Mackintosh, and Maison Martin Margiela (including the German Army Trainers). Just browse around.
  • Opumo: 30% off with the code blacksteal. Lots of stuff here by Berg & Berg, P. Johnson Tailors, Drake’s, and Filson.
  • Selfridges: 20% off with the code SELF2013, plus an extra ~20% off taken at checkout if you’re exempt from European taxes. Notable brands here include Barbour, Stutterheim, and Drake’s.
  • Need Supply: Starting Monday, 20% off everything (I believe this is the first time they’ve ever discounted their whole store). Notable brands include Alden, Engineered Garments, and Quoddy.
  • Dapper Classics: These guys make really nice over-the-calf navy cotton socks, and they sell them at a price that’s more affordable than any other comparable brand. Take 25% off right now with the code Holidays.
  • Bench & Loom: 15% off with the code PS15. Frankly not that great of a discount, but better to grab something you like at a small discount than something you don’t really want at a steep one.
  • Oki-Ni: 20% off fall-winter collections with the code 2013BF20, with another 20% taken off if you’re exempt from European taxes (you just have to email them for the refund). The sale includes that new Barbour line with Norton & Sons. I picked up this black Shetland sweater a few months ago and really like it.
  • Exquisite Trimmings: 30% off all tie and pocket squares with the code THANKS, and again, another 20% taken off if you’re exempt from European taxes. Lots of Drake’s stuff here.
  • Self Edge: 13% off with the code LetsDrink2013. This is a great time to pick up some 3sixteen jeans (I particularly like the SL-100x model, and recommend taking your regular waist size)
  • Club Monaco: Club Monaco is great for affordable knitwear (so long as you stay away from the cashmere). At the moment, you can take an extra 30% off sale items with the code THANKS30. That puts these merino v-necks and crewnecks at about $41. You’d be hard pressed to find a better deal.
  • J Crew: 30% off with the discount code HOLIDAY, putting that Broadmoor jacket I bought at ~$138. If someone needed affordable outerwear, here is a great place to go.
