A tech firm from Denmark named Delta has achieved great progress in developing cool vroom vroom sounds for EV vehicles. They have narrowed down these sounds to a few of the most effective sounds that will help alert pedestrians better without any noise pollution. Folks over at Quartz have received some samples of these sounds Delta has been testing. You can listen to them after the jump.
A similar alerting system is already being used by Renault’s ZOE, which allows driver to even switch between three different noices and even turn on and off fake engine sounds to warn of its presence. With the European Union’s legislation for “pedestrian alert systems” in the works, these alerting systems will become a requirement for electric vehicles by 2019
