ECA Degree Show 2013: Jewellery and Silversmithing

By Jollygoodstudio @JollyGoodStudio
My blog has been taken over by degree shows! What can I say, I love looking around them and sharing my favourites. The latest one I checked out was Edinburgh College of Art. I've already shared my top 5 over on Wardrobe Conversations but I wanted to go into a bit more detail here, starting with the Jewellery and Silversmithing course.  There weren't as many jewelry students compared to the DJCAD show but the quality of what was there was incredibly strong. These are the ones that really stood out for me.
Kelly Munro

I loved Kelly Munro's rings. They reflect her inspiration of the Scottish coast and fishing industry perfectly and are so well crafted. Just look at that sawing skill.
Han-Chieh Chuang

Han-Chieh Chuang's display worked perfectly with the jewelry pieces. I loved the mirrored mountains and the photography of the pieces being worn. Plus that necklace is just stunning.
Olivia Creber

Olivia Creber had some really interesting pieces and ideas. I loved seeing some jewelry featured around men and the chunky stone necklaces were real statement pieces.
Jessica Mobley
The jewelry of Jessica Mobley was just beutiful. I would happily wear all of these rings, but I especially loved the silver ones above. The metal worked so well with the pink details.
Sally Morrison
And, as mentioned in my top 5, Sally Morrison was my favorite of the jewelry section. I couldn't help but share a few more of her amazing collection. All of the pieces have such impact and work really well together as a collection.

The ECA Degree show is still on until Sunday the 9th of June, so there's still time to check it out.
