Easy, Tiger! There’s a New Thai Restaurant with a Kick

By Clari @clarisaysblog

Remember Jatujak? This Thai restaurant was located on the fourth floor of The Block, SM City North EDSA. My colleagues turned friends and I frequent this restaurant because we used to always watch a movie in this building. Thus, it became our go-to restaurant when we crave for Thai food.

Jatujak has several offerings and they are all good. We specifically love their Thai Spring Rolls, Pad Thai, and Bagoong Rice. Also, I remember drinking the best Thai Milk Tea here. But that was years ago. So when my family and I went to watch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, I decided to visit the restaurant again. To my surprise, it's been replaced by another Thai restaurant called Easy, Tiger - Thai Food with a Kick!

Easy, Tiger - Thai Food with a Kick

We were informed that Easy, Tiger is brought by the same person behind Jatujak. I did a little research and found out the owner is Mr Al Puruganan. Take note, Jatujak and Easy, Tiger are not the only restaurants he owns. There is also Tamarind and there is a branch in this mall, too! Check out my review here.

The Food

So what do Easy, Tiger offer? They have quite a menu which is easy for people familiar with Thai food and/or willing to read through and try something new. But since I was also with my Abuelita, I know it's not going to be easy to explain. That is why I am happy because they have set meals.

They call it Rounds Meal Sets which comes with Tom Yum Broth, Green Papaya Salad and Steamed Rice which you can level up to Bagoong Rice (+PHP30) and add a Lemongrass Juice (+PHP25). We got two of those set meals and a couple more.

FRIED SPRING ROLLS (PHP145)
(POH PIA THOD)

Round 1 SATE CHICKEN (PHP175) Round 7 GRILLED CHICKEN GAI YANG (PHP210)

KUEY TIEW TOM YUM (PHP165)
Tom Yum noodle soup with seafood

THAI MILK TEA

You know what, they are all good. Seriously! I have no complaints. Not only were the dishes we ordered delicious, but the serving was also ample. Did you see the Sate Chicken? For that price, we got four sticks and a complete meal. We were very satisfied.

It's also worth mentioning that if you are craving for milk tea Easy, Tiger's is a must-try. I know it's pointless to talk about milk tea because there are countless. Plus, I mentioned countless times that I have a list of milk tea shops that I visit and don't bother trying new shops but I'm now 100% sure I've tasted Jatujak's Thai Milk Tea before. It's no surprise that the taste is similar but I can honestly say it is good and you should try it, too!

The Restaurant

As mentioned earlier, Easy, Tiger replaced Jatujak which is on the fourth floor of The Block, SM City North EDSA. They are near Cinemas 1, 2, 3 and 4. So if you want to eat before or after watching a movie, you can easily find them. Simply look for a well-lit restaurant with beautifully exposed bricks.

The place isn't that big but it has the right space. This means that if they are packed, diners will still have their personal space. In addition, their place is clean and ventilated. The staff are nice, patient and courteous, too.

We would definitely dine here again.

Happy eating!
