East Village NYC, Vintage Shopping

By Lovelybylucy @lovelybylucy

A flashback to almost a week ago, last Saturday, when I was still in sunny NYC spending the day vintage shopping.
I’m not much of a vintage shopper at home, but the stores in NYC have much better selections than in the Netherlands if you ask me and there are a few stores I never miss when in NYC. Especially Tokio 7, which is one of my favorite designer vintage stores and I still remember getting a pair of Balenciaga jeans there 2 years ago, for just 20 dollars. This time I didn’t get much more than a vintage basketball shirt so big that I can wear it as a dress, and a few small accessories. Not because there wasn’t anything good out there, but mostly because I wasn’t looking for anything and am at one of those moments I sometimes have when my wardrobe is bulging, and I should really sort out my wardrobe situation before buying things I don’t need. Nonetheless, it was fun to wander through the streets of cozy East Village and to nose around in vintage stores. If you’re planning to go to NYC and wonder what are my favorite stores, I’ve made a list of most of them. There are a few of which I don’t know the exact names but if you wander through 7th to 12th Street between 3rd and 1st Avenue, that’s where you’ll find most of them. Here is my list:
