Earth Day Blog Hop

 We love going out for walks and exploring the nature, marvelling at all the beauty she has to offer. It fascinates me how much the clean air and the beauty before my eyes restores my soul.
Have you heard about "the nature deficit disorder"? A term coined by Richard Louv. In his book Last Child in the Woods, Louvlinks the lack of nature in the lives of today's wired generation—he calls it nature-deficit—to some of the most disturbing childhood trends, such as the rises in obesity, attention disorders, and depression.
Therefore, we try to spend time outdoors as much as possible. Rain or shine, it is very important for children to get out,breathe fresh air and explore the world around them.
Even if it is just for 15 minutes a day, even if they are in playing in the garden I make it a priority to let them spend some time outdoors.
In today's world, our children cannot play freely in the woods or on a road in front of your house anymore for security reasons. But we should still find  ways so that they can explore the nature.Luckily for us, we have beautiful parks just a few minutes from our house.
 I love watching observing them touching,feeling and playing with sticks, leaves,flowers ... ...and how they are absorbed with it all
...and their games,finding spaces to play and hide and seek .
Sometimes we take our toys or craft materials and a little table outside and play there. I would love to hear from you, how do you encourage your kids to connect with nature?
