The following infographic shows the Dutch economy at a glance. It is the sixth-largest economy in the European Union and plays an important role as a European transportation hub. Furthermore, Holland is the world's fifth largest exporter. The country owes 70 percent of its gross national product to export. The highly mechanized agricultural sector in the Netherlands employs only 2% of the labor force but provides large surpluses for food-processing and underpins the country’s status as the world’s second largest agricultural exporter.
