Due North

By Gail Aguiar @ImageLegacy

This is my wrap-up post for January, as I’ll be on the road until the calendar turns. I’m heading due north to colder climes, for a round of visiting friends in the UK. As per usual, I’m hitting the pause button on the blog, but will be posting phone pics to Instagram and video to the Facebook page. It will be very much a nostalgia trip, as I plan to meet up with friends I first met in Vancouver (2000, 2003), Detroit (2011), Edinburgh (1993), Toronto (2008), and online (2005), through photography. Perhaps more people (Australia 1992), if the stars align.

I was a regular visitor to London since the first acquaintance — February 3, 1993 — after flying in from Thailand very young and very green. I resided in Scotland for two years, but I haven’t been back since a memorable summer in 1999. For London, it’s been more than five years. We have lots of catching up to do.
