Dress, c/o French Connection, Tan Habitual heeled sandals, ASOS. It’s been a while since I’ve had a dress moment -- and I don’t mean a Marilyn moment either. My style is very much an eclectic separates sort of affair, full of shorts and shirts or skater skirts and off-duty t-shirts, or even a complete co-ords thang. But something about the swimmingly long days and evenings and teeming sunbeams has led me to pull out a fuss-free dress again.
This French Connection number is ever so ladylike and quite unlike the way I’d define my signature style. It’s possibly the most girlish thing I’ve laid eyes on in my wardrobe but I can see it working so well for work as well as for swish Sunday activities! I just adore the sheer stripe detailing and the lace appliqué at the shoulders, as well as, y’know, working dat white trend. I teamed it here with my tan ASOS heels for a day running errands, drinking tea and cake, and playing DS, but how cute would it be teamed with my Topshop sandals and my Celine Trio?!
