Dots Recommends: Ry X, Audio Kings of the Third World & System of Hate

It’s Music Monday, people! As always, I’ve selected three songs for your listening pleasure.

First off, I recommend the absolutely sublime “Berlin” the title song from the debut EP by Ry X. You’ve probably heard this many times already, but I really couldn’t resist featuring it anyway.

Musically, it drifts along gently from the outset, carrying the stunning vocals to crescendos at various stages throughout the song. There’s a simultaneous fragility and strength that together make this absolutely stunning, and utterly captivating.

I’m going to completely shock the system now with quite an unprecedented change in tempo. Introducing you to Audio Kings of the Third World.

Their fuzzy, punky, garage rock EP “Space Punk” was released back in February, and from it I give you “8 Bit Man”. It’s about a man filled with rage due to being constantly told what to do, and wants things to be completely the opposite. It’s noisy, dark and experimental. I rather like it. Do you?

Continuing on the punk rock vein, I’m cranking up the volume even more with System of Hate. This band are a no holds barred, properly shouty, angry, intense group of individuals.

Kicking off with a hefty bass riff, “Ashes of Divinity”, track two from their newest EP, “Insanity”, is indicative of the style of System of Hate. This band are slick, they love what they do, and they’re getting it out there. I suggest you get on this particular bandwagon! Enjoy…!
