Dorsal Fins Get Us Moving Again with ‘mind Renovation’ [premiere]

Melbourne’s favorite party-starting musical gang of 10, Dorsal Fins, have found another hip-shaking groove in “Mind Renovation”. The titular track off their forthcoming debut LP, “Mind Renovation” tightly weaves a blazing horn section with a smattering of distorted guitar lines and noises as the melodic, incisive ramblings of Jarrad Brown and Ella Thompson clear a path for the song’s lofty chorus. Matching the warped sound and controlled chaos of “Mind Renovation,” the brand new clip, created by Jason Galea, shifts through a kaleidoscope shapes, colors, faintly recognizable scenes. Glitching in and out for a mesmerizing three minutes, a dinosaur, a Japanese tea house, a wandering set of eyeballs and everything in between flash on screen for short cameos in this computer generated marvel. Mind Renovation will be out February 13th on Gripless/Remote Control Records.
