In this same interview, the candidate of the American right refused to say that he would accept the results out of the ballot boxes, reiterating his concern about possible frauds which he believed favored by postal voting.
“No, I will have to see”, he said, repeating the very controversial position he had adopted before the ballot in 2016 that he had won. “I'm not just going to say 'yes'. I'm not just going to say 'no'. ”
“First and foremost, I'm not losing, because these are bogus polls,” said the billionaire, interviewed by journalist Chris Wallace on an opinion poll showing Mr. Biden ahead of him by eight points, at 49% against 41%.
“Biden is unable to line up two sentences in a row”, then attacked the American president who, asked to clarify if he considered his adversary “senile”, did not go that far, however.
“I don't mean that, I would say he is not qualified to be president. To be president, you have to be quick-witted, strong, and many other things. He doesn't even come out of his basement, ”Mr. Trump criticized.
He was referring to the fact that Joe Biden, 77 years, spends most of his time reclusive in his residence in the State of Delaware, struggling to give a media boost to his campaign for the White House.
M. Trump also refused to lend any credit to a Fox News poll finding that voters considered him less “competent” than Mr. Biden. He suggested that this issue be resolved by an intelligence quotient test imposed on the two septuagenarian candidates.
“Let's do a test. Let's do a test now. Let’s sit down, Joe and I, and take a test, ”said the Republican leader, who on November 3 will face the former vice president of Barack Obama at the polls.
Another poll published on Sunday and carried out by the ABC channel and the newspaper Washington Post shows an advance of Joe Biden on Donald Trump even sharper in voting intentions, at 55% against 40%.
Mr. Trump continues to pay dearly for his bad management of the COVID crisis – 11 in the United States, with a rate of approval of its general policy dropping to 39%, 57% the disapproving.
