Government launches new portal for complaints related to mobile devices and telecom services Communication Partner Online portal has been launched. Mobile phone users can report their problems through this portal. This portal of the Department of Telecom will be operated in collaboration with agencies like TAFCOP (Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection) and CEIR. In this, users will be able to block or track their lost or stolen mobile phones. Also, you will be able to trace the SIM card and mobile number issued in your name.

How to report stolen or lost mobile?

To track and block any lost or stolen mobile, its IMEI number will be required. On this portal of the Department of Telecom, you will have to enter the IMEI number of your lost mobile phone number. After this the necessary steps given below have to be followed. We are going to tell you the easy steps to register your report on this portal.

  • First of all go to Sanchar Saathi online portal and navigate to CEIR’s portal to report lost or stolen phone.
  • Next, you will be required to enter your stolen device details such as mobile number, IMEI number (both IMEI numbers for dual SIM phones), device brand name, device model, and phone bill.
  • Then you have to upload the details of the place where the phone was stolen or lost, date, state, city, FIR (police complaint), police station and copy of the complaint.
  • In the next step, you will have to enter your personal information such as your name, address, identity documents, e-mail ID, mobile number, etc.
  • After completing these steps, you will get an OTP i.e. One Time Password, by entering which you will be able to report your lost or stolen mobile.

After following these easy steps, if someone has stolen your phone, then he will not be able to use it. CEIR will block the device after verifying the information provided by you.
