Christmas Tree 2013 by Dolce & Gabbana for Claridge’s London

For the fourth consecutive year, the famous London hotel Claridge’s attracts fashion houses to design a traditional Christmas tree for their lobby. Claridge’s earlier collaborated with Lanvin and John Galliano, and this year Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana got the opportunity to bring the Christmas’s spirit.

Sketch of the project has already seen the light. The tree created by Dolce & Gabbana will be a fluffy tree , decorated in a traditional Sicilian style, with lots of puppets and handmade glass baubles , painted in gold , red and green .”Our Christmas tree isn’t only a celebration of Christmas as we celebrate it in Italy, but it’s also a tribute to the artisanal Italian tradition, the same that we love to export worldwide with everything we do,” said the duo. “When we think of London, we always think of Claridge’s and its typically English atmosphere, which fascinates us and makes us fall in love with the city every time as if it were the first.”

According to Claridge’s general manager Thomas Kochs , ”Both Claridge’s and Dolce & Gabbana are synonymous with timeless glamour, innovative spirit and traditional family values that are so important at this time of year.”

The tree will be unveiled on November 26.
