With their 2010 debut album, What Happened, Michigan band Dog & Panther captured our attention and showed us the sort of magic that they’re capable of creating.  Their knack for expressing innate emotions, in particular love and fear, in songs “Love Make” and “Else” took me by complete surprise.  Drawing inspiration from artists like Death Cab for Cutie and Sigur Rós, Dog & Panther blends smooth-as-molasses vocals with intricate, electronically-effected instrumentation in a very original way.

After three long years, the guys are back in action and set to release their sophomore album, Our Bodies, on February 5 (that’s this upcoming Tuesday).  Above is “Bay Bee”, the first single off that album.
