Judging of the contestants were based on look, attire, personality, presentation, audience participation and overall Marilyn look and feel. Performances were also judged on their show and reaction from judges' and audience members, with options of live or lip-syncing. Does this pooch get your vote? The “Forever Marilyn,” statue owned by the Santa Monica-based Foundation will remain in Palm Springs until early September, according to the city and P.S. Resorts, a nonprofit organization that was started by local hotels in Palm Springs to promote tourism.  “This is very exciting news for Palm Springs and the entire Coachella Valley, and the goal is to create even more events during the additional time Marilyn is here,'' said Aftab Dada, chairman of P.S. Resorts, which organized and helped fund the installation of ``Forever Marilyn,” reports kesq.com.
