Photos and a videos from recent Doctor Who filming have found their way online, revealing Peter Capaldi’s Doctor using his sonic screwdriver.
For those hoping that we would be getting a new sonic, might be disappointed. While its said that this is filming for the third episode of the 8th season and there’s always a chance we’ll still get a new sonic, clearly we’re not getting it right out of the gate like we did with Matt Smith.
I will admit that at first I thought that the sonic in Capaldi’s hand looks a bit thinner and smoother compared to Matt Smith’s, but more close-up shots, prove that to be incorrect.
Also filming revealed yet another new monster. Something that looks like a a robot with glowing blue eyes.
There definitely seems to be a mechanical/technological/cyborg type feel to most of the characters we’ve seen to this point. An intentional common thread?
