You had to admit, this is pretty damn cool! Obviously to avoid spoilers and leaks across the globe after the UK airing of the 50th Anniversary, the BBC has made the announcement that the 50th Anniversary will be aired simultaneously across the world!
“It’s always been our ambition to work with our broadcast partners so that international Doctor Who fans can enjoy the 50th-anniversary special at the same time as the UK. We’ll have more details soon about our very exciting global plans for November,” said BBC Worldwide in a statement.
It’s a hell of a way to celebrate such an anniversary, where the 90-minute special could be viewed by more than 100 million viewers from 200 territories, at the same time.
Being broadcast simultaneously will mean that when it is airing in the evening in the UK, viewers in LA will be watching it midday, and fans in Sydney will be watching it early morning on Sunday (November 24th).
Who has a TARDIS so we can get to November NOW?
