Do You Have Your Own YouTube Channel?

By Lisa @Lisapatb

I want to welcome Dvr. Dame, a new guest blogger here on Inspire to Thrive - I found her when I was first starting to blog and she wrote a piece on Alf. I just loved that show! I wish they made shows like that today still. Her blog always is a welcome break for me as I tend to read more blogs on learning topics. I enjoy her quotes and throwback days that take me back to another time.
Here she is on the topic of You Tube.

YouTube is one of the highest trafficking websites out there. A lot of people hate it because they think it's only about guys getting kicked in the crotch. Sometimes it is about childish humor but it's much more. Using YouTube can help you create a successful blog.
Have you started your own You Tube Channel yet?
One benefit of having YouTube videos on your blog is it will visually look appealing to readers. This can bring in more viewers and hopefully more subscribers. If you decide to have your own channel on YouTube you can promote your blog and yes hopefully create more traffic to your blog. You can do this by adding your brand to the background of your original video. You can take it a step further and become a YouTube partner. Becoming a partner gives you the option to add banners and a call to action branding. This can earn you cash because YouTube shares their ad revenue with partners. You need a lot of hits and frequently added videos to qualify as a YouTube partner.
The big downside to YouTube is copyright infringement. If you don't get permission from the owner of the video then your account could be shut down or in a worse case scenario you could get sued. The possible loophole to this is the person who first copied the video would be the person getting sued. Also if the original owner posted the video on YouTube and has a share link then technically it's open to the public. If you want to play it safe then use your own videos. I hope this was helpful and if you want to do some more research check out this linkhttp://wwwyoutubecom/t/howto_copyright

Before I sign out I want to thank Lisa for letting me write a guest post.  Thanks for reading everyone! Rebecca http://dvrdameblogspotcom/
