Do You Find The Word Frape Offensive?

By Therealsupermum @TheRealSupermum

I see it happening almost daily with the amount of friends I have on Facebook, yes I am a popular lady. But why oh why do they have to call it Frape?

To be fraped on Facebook basically means someone without your knowledge jumps onto your Facebook profile, pretending to be you and sets a rather disturbing status, usually something crude or funny.  The whole frappe is not offensive and normally is quite amusing.

Can you imagine popping to the loo and coming back to Facebook some time later to see an hour ago you set a status saying

“ I went for a big juicy poo but it got stuck on the way out”. Yes I have seen this used on a Frape attack.

Yes it is funny in your friends eyes and embarrassing in yours, but no harm has been done by your loving partner or friend who just fraped you.

I don’t think the Frape tactics is what upsets anyone; it’s that word in general Frape.

To rape a woman, you take control of her and do something she does not want you to do. Where the hell is the comparison to that with taking the mick out of someone on Facebook? Would a person who frapes their girlfriend or friend on Facebook rape them? NO. So why use a word so related to this despicable crime.

Frape- A combination of the words ‘Facebook’ and ‘Rape’.

The act of Raping someones Facebook profile when they leave it logged in. Profile pictures, sexuality and interests are commonly changed however fraping can include the poking or messaging of strangers from someone else’s Facebook account.

Have you ever been fraped? Did you see the funny side of it?

Have you ever been raped? Did you see the funny side of that too?
