Today, DJI officially got its newest consumer product under control: the DJI Pocket 2. While it looks like DJI is finally ditching the Osmo branding, this is officially the sequel to the DJI Osmo Pocket from 2018.

The Pocket 2 retains the same general form factor as the Osmo Pocket. However, DJI has upped the ante when it comes to video and audio quality and offers a range of accessories for the Pocket 2 that are sure to make vloggers happy.
The DJI Pocket 2 starts at $ 349, the same price as the 2018 version. There will also be a "Creator Combo" for $ 499 that includes a variety of useful accessories.

If you already own an Osmo bag, you probably won't be too excited about what this new version can do. It will continue to record 4K video with triaxial stabilization. It's still incredibly small, connects to your smartphone through the DJI Mimo app, and allows you to quickly share footage to your social media channels.
However, this doesn't mean that DJI hasn't introduced some upgrades. In particular, the image sensor in the DJI Pocket 2 is slightly larger at 1 / 1.7-inch, so it can capture better footage, especially when less light is available. There will also be HDR video recordings (possibly after a software update). Probably the biggest boon for developers, however, is the addition of optical and digital zoom. When you record in 1080p, you get 4x lossless zoom. When you take up to 2.7K or 4K recordings, you can rely on the 3x or 2x digital zoom.

One of the biggest complaints about the Osmo Pocket was its poor audio quality. DJI also addressed these concerns by adding a new quad mic system strategically designed to work even when you're holding the Pocket 2. It also has directional audio that allows it to intelligently "focus" on the audio coming from you, the subject.
