DIY: Surf Spray

By Sars @RockinAroundThe

Pugs, reality TV, pineapple coconut water, surf spray… these are a few of my favorite things.

Salt sprays are my fave hair product ever, I love messy and imperfect hair.  Every spring I start getting excited, because that means that beachy waves are about to come back in style (although I rock them year round).  Sea salt sprays can be expensive, and all of the options are overwhelming.  Here’s how to turn out your own surf spray.

All you need is sunscreen, sea salt, a 3 oz spray bottle, and water.  I wanted to use a 3 oz bottle so you can pass TSA regulations… you have to look good on spring break + vacay.

Fill your bottle (almost to the top) with hot water, leave about a centimeter of the bottle empty.

Add 1/4 tsp. of sea salt + 1/4 tsp. of sunscreen to the hot water.

Shake vigorously.  When the spray cools down, it’s ready to use.

I’m obsessed with this spray because it smells like summer, I loooove the scent of sunblock.  Not only does the spray give you beachy waves, but the sunscreen keeps your hair soft while protecting your scalp.

Spray it, don’t say it.
