DIY Long Jersey Scarf

By Vixenmade @vixenMade
Okay, are you all ready for yet another super easy accessory?  As you may have seen in my previous posts, I love a quick and easy scarf.  Remember my infinity scarf and my no sew infinity scarf?
Well, since I had a bunch of red jersey lying around from my thrift store finds, I figured I'd create a long jersey scarf that I've been wanting for awhile.

I just love the light and casual look of scarves like these.  So I whipped one up in literally minutes.

Here's how:
Get yourself some light weight jersey knit fabric.

The length I had remaining was about 58 inches.

So cutting at the width of my fabric, I made two cuts lengthwise at 8 inches wide.

So I had two strips of fabric at 8 x 58 inches.

I pinned the two ends of my fabric together, right sides together.

And sewed together.

I now I have 116 inches of glorious scarf!

The best part is the many ways to wear it!

FUN!  I love the versatility.  Yes, the edges are raw (jersey knit won't fray), but I just love the look of it.  Casual and cool.  Here's more ideas on how to tie your new long scarf!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!!
