DIY Graphic Sweaters

By Vixenmade @vixenMade
I just love all those graphic sweaters out there, don't you?
Well, I loved them so much that I thought I'd try and make some of my own.
I had bought a bunch last year at the end of season sale for next to nothing and they worked perfectly!

And talk about easy!  Ready to make some? All you need is some sweaters, some freezer paper and an iron and fabric paint.

First off, find yourself an image to use as a stencil.  I found a fox silhouette in a google search (the others were found in an image google search as well) and printed it out.
Trace your image onto freezer paper like so.

Using an exacto knife, cut the image out (carefully).

If you have any small pieces, don't throw them out.  You'll need them.

Once you placed your image where you want it on your sweater, press it down with a preheated iron.  This will keep it in place as you paint. Now get yourself some fabric paint and a paintbrush.

Add a layer of cardboard between the layers of your sweater before you begin to prevent it from bleeding through. Then, simply dab the paint onto the entire stencil image.  It's easiest to do the outer edges first and paint inwards.

Let your painting dry over night. Come morning you should have a fun sweater like these!

I also did a bow stencil.  I just made many of them to scatter across the front.

And my winking eye.  I love this sweater!

Have fun creating some of your own!!
