DIY Door-Knobs

By Megthamama
I love my home. It's so cozy, and homey and warm. However, there are a few things that make me scratch my head from the contractor.

Case in point #1: Everything in our home is brushed bronze......expect our door knobs and kitchen faucet. Seriously. It's like he ran out of money or something.

So, I wanted to replace all the door knobs (and I still may), but in the meantime I bought some rust-oleum and told H to start taking our door knobs off.

He was real hesitant at first.....but, he came around.....
And he let me paint a few......

And they started looking pretty good! And H came around and decided he wanted to get more involved and speed the process up......

So.....he removed all of the hardware and set it up this way:
Everything was categorized. And labeled. And in order. And comical.

Oh the joys of living with an engineer. The minute they are involved in a project.....you need to expect ALL CAPS, labels and organization at it's finest. After 6 years of marriage, I sit back and just watch. There's no need to get involed. And, I know when to walk away and let him do his thing.

This was one of those projects.

Here's the final product:

$4 well spent my friends. It's definitely cheaper than replacing!
