Diy: Create Your Own Mood Board

By Pragyasharma57 @pragyasharma57

Are you the kind who keeps on collecting newspaper and magazine cuttings but find it difficult to manage them. You wish you had that personal space of yours where you can pin them up for an everyday inspiration. Not only cuttings, but you can also paste things you want to remember like market purchases or anything in the world you like to be in the vicinity of your eyes every time, it can be your lover's photograph too :)
That's where the mood board comes to aid you. Its a very simple and time efficient DIY. You just have to follow the steps:
Gather all the supplies:1. Cardboard2. Foam Board(it has hard board on both sides with foam inside so that the epins are easy to insert and remove)3. Fabric material/Velvet for the topmost covering4. Scissors5. Ruler6. Marker/Pencil7. Fabric Glue/Fevicol

The foam board

 - Measure and cut the foam board in the size according to the space available. Cut the cardboard in the same size too.

- Glue the bottom of foam board to the cardborad. Paste a lot of fevicol so that it sticks perfectly.

- Cut the fabric according to the foam board's size while leaving extra fabric for pasting the fabric at the back. I have used net fabric here for an elegant look.

- Though fabric glue is more preferable, since it glues to the cardboard better I was short of it, so I used the Fevicol. Keep a tissue in handy since the Fevicol pierces through the fabric while fabric glue doesn't.

And it's done. Pin up your favorite photographs, clippings, anything you desire. You can also decorate it with laces, lights, ribbons or buttons too.
