Disneyland Shows off Its Marvel Quinjet

Disneyland has unveiled its SHIELD Quinjet, which is now on the new Avengers campus being built at the Disney California Adventure theme park in Anaheim. The new images surfaced on Instagram Thursday and were released by both Walt Disney Imagineering and Disneyland after a tour by Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios. Josh D'Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks; and Ken Potrock, President of Disneyland Resort.

"Further progress on the Avengers campus at Disney California Adventure Park with the arrival of the Quinjet and new attraction badges for WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure," the Imagineering report captioned his pictures.

With Disneyland's construction influenced by the spread of COVID-19, it's imminent The start of the Avengers Campus has been delayed back in April. The Marvel-themed area was originally scheduled to open on July 18, but the theme park was closed indefinitely on March 15 due to the spread of the coronavirus.

Disneyland intended open their gates again on July 17th, the 65th anniversary of the park, it was forced to delay as there are no theme park guidelines in California yet.

The Disneyland page for Avengers Campus still simply says it's "coming soon".

Once launched, the Avengers Campus at Disneyland will contain a Spider-Man attraction known as the Worldwide Engineering Brigade, or WEB Headquarters. WEB was founded by Tony Stark to "develop advances in super power technology, including new improvements to the Spider-Man suit as a debut project," and it will feature impressive Spider-Man acrobatic animatronics.

The Avengers Campus in California is also home to the Sanctum, a series of ruins based on the story of Doctor Strange. Avengers Headquarters, which will have meet-and-greets from MCU characters like Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain America, and Captain Marvel; Pym Test Kitchen, an Ant-Man and The Wasp-themed eatery; and Merch Stores WEB Suppliers and the Collector's Warehouse.

The attractions will be part of the Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout Ride, which was built by re-theming the old Tower of Terror in Hollywood Land. Guardians was launched three years ago in May 2017. The rest of the Marvel theme will be built in the old A Bug's Land next to the Guardians Ride in the area next to Cars Land.
