Discovering and Displaying the Innovative and Creative Culture of Silicon Valley
Silicon Valley’s vibrant art scene is on display at the New Museum Los Gatos’ upcoming exhibition, Boundaries, and City Lights Theater Company’s production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Hello, art lovers! This is your Valley girl Anna D. If you’re looking to dive into the vibrant art scene of Silicon Valley, you won’t want to miss the New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU) and their Boundaries: the 4th Annual Experimental Exhibition. Opening on Friday, July 19, this juried art show brings together incredible artists from all over Santa Clara County, exploring the theme of “Boundaries” in their works. It’s a fantastic opportunity to see some truly innovative art, all in one place.
NUMU’s Executive Director, Kimberly Snyder, has such an inspiring story. She started at NUMU as a curatorial intern back in 2014 and fell in love with the museum’s community. Now, as executive director, she’s focused on making NUMU a key part of the local art scene, engaging with Los Gatos’s rich history and creating connections with volunteers, members, and staff. Snyder’s passion and dedication are truly evident in everything she does.
On Silicon Valley’s very own Content Magazine Podcast, Kimberly shared in Episode #118, her journey to becoming executive director, her experience as a mother, her love for cooking, and her talent for bringing people together. Her favorite motto? “It’s not about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning to dance in the rain.” Truly words to live by!
