Spring into The Arch London
To celebrate springtime and the abundance of delicious flavours this season brings to the table,Hunter 486, the stylish restaurant located within five-star hotel The Arch London, has created a glorious spring menu.
Developed by Head Chef Gary Durrant, the new menu is inspired by ‘Best of British’ recipes using only the freshest seasonal ingredients such as Lamb, Jersey Royals, Asparagus, Peas and Purple sprouting broccoli. The last thing you want to be doing is slaving over a hot oven on these warmer days, so head over to Hunter 486 restaurant near Marble Arch.
Dishes to tantalise your tastebuds this springinclude Dressed Dorset crab, avocado, pink grapefruit; Ham hock, piccalilli, sourdough toast; Chicken livers, bacon, pea and mint; and Grilled fillets of lemon sole, brown shrimps, dill, cucumber and horseradish sauce; Rack of lamb, crushed Jersey Royals, spring vegetables, herb broth; and Wild garlic, asparagus, pea and radish risotto. A selection of new sides on offer includesJersey Royals; Sweet potato fries; and Spring greens. Sweet treats include Rhubarb jelly with Champagne sorbet; Lemon posset, sesame and poppy seed biscuit; and Orange, pomegranate, almond, rose flower water with mascarpone sorbet
The crowning glory of Hunter 486 is the use of the stone oven. As it operates at a very high heat, meat and fish are produced with astonishingly succulent results. New stone oven dishes include Whole sea bass, orange butter, fennel and rocket salad; and Rack of lamb with Jersey Royals, spring vegetables and herb broth. Every Sunday Hunter 486 serves a Sunday Roast cooked in the stone oven from 12pm until 10pm priced at £22.95 for two courses.
Named after the 1950s dialling code for Marylebone, Hunter 486 has been designed with an air of nostalgic London glamour fused with contemporary touches. The restaurant features gleaming leather booths, blown glass chandeliers and statement artwork, plus an adjoining chic Salon de Champagne bar. The kitchen is delightfully open plan and airy, allowing guests to watch the skilled chefs at work amongst the gleaming selection of copper pots and pans suspended from the ceiling. Light streams through the large windows, treating guests to a charming view of the neighbourhood mews, and come the evening, the softly lit restaurant is an intimate and romantic setting for dinner and drinks.
