Due to on-going expansion, we’re looking for a top notch Digital Project Manager: experienced, enthusiastic, great with customers and able to drive projects forward without handholding.
The Digital Project Manager will play a key role in managing the delivery of our Web development, SEO, PPC and digital design projects across the globe, ensuring systems and processes are followed to facilitate delivery of successful projects.
You will act as part of a small team and should be able to work well as an interface between the client and company, managing a team of 20.
Our clients are a number of Independent Schools, International organisations, Emerging market Governmental bodies and SME’s.
The ideal candidate will be up to date with UX, project management and have at least 2 years experience in a similar role
The role will involve:
- The successful candidate will be a good communicator, well organised, assertive and possess at least 2-3 years experience in Digital Project Management
- Deliver projects on time and on budget
- Manage the full life cycle of projects from initial client contact to full working delivery
- Work to develop creative strategies, run pitches, projects and campaigns, while understanding the business objectives of any given project and ensure deliveries fulfill these
- Forming strong client relations, acting as a consultant and the “go to” on all digital projects
- Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, ensuring good communication between all stakeholders, managing expectations and looking for areas that need improvement
- Liaise with high-profile, international clients, providing articulate communication and responsive service, including client presentations, pitches, tenders and client reports
- Manage the time scale of projects, including the time management of individuals
- You will be responsible for project analysis and planning, allocating resources and budgeting
- Educating internal team on how to maximise digital opportunities
- Provide ongoing client support
- Active in new business presentations
The Digital Project Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Managing our team of highly skilled creative consultants, web developers, graphic designers, copywriters, social media and SEO experts
- Strong understanding of SEO, CMS, Analytics, technology and the full range of digital media trends
- Building relationships & development across disciplines like strategy, creative, UX, development and QA
- A willing team member who enjoys working collaboratively across all business units
- Ability to understand technologies applicable to a chosen project and facilitate resolution of technical issues as they arise
- Responsible for creating SRS documents, proposals and preparing presentations
- Agreeing and writing functional specifications for digital projects
- Acting as an internal information point and quality control for system
- Throughout the entire process the Digital Project Manager will remain in constant contact with the client and advocates for the sites completion in a specified time frame and budget
- Assisting and overseeing of internal marketing activities
- Reporting to senior management
The person
- Requirements gathering, scoping, planning site architecture, wireframing, and specifying projects
- Superb communication skills – verbal, written, client facing
- Managing full development lifecycle
- Experience working with agile methodologies
- Must have a proven track record of delivering ecommerce projects
- You will have managed Online Advertising, Website builds, Social Media and Mobile projects
- You should have experience of using project management software, Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience
- Strong knowledge of Online Marketing / E-commerce / Social Media Marketing / SEO / PPC / Google Analytics required
- Be assertive and able to negotiate ongoing arrangements with existing clients
- You will have the ability to use your own initiative with strong analytical skills
- Possess the ability to work under pressure
- Be highly organised and able to prioritise different demands
- Have the ability to delegate effectively
- Ability to think on feet and capable of wider strategic thinking, ensuring solutions meet briefs effectively
- Be IT literate & have Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress. aexperience in Magento and Joomla is a bonus
- Experience in the web site development cycle, UX, website review and auditing, writing SRS documentation, using PMS’s to manage projects effectively, using FTP software is a must
- Understanding of hosting, domain name management and DNS
- CSS, HTML, PHP, MySQL a bonus
Hours and Salary
As Digital Project Manager, you will work from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. The salary on offer is £22,000 to £26,000 per annum dependent upon experience plus a new business growth related bonus.
The right candidate is expected to want to develop rapidly to become a key member of the management team with the potential to progress to become a Director of the business.
