As I mentioned in Mondays post, my time at Vanilla Ink's Precious Metal Clay class has resulted in two new rings for me. I am super pleased with them. Mostly because they actually fit the fingers for which I intended them, but also because they are both fun pieces that turned out pretty much as I'd planned.
One is a shiny diamond and the other is a tasty pizza slice (I was obviously hungry while making that one). The pizza and diamond were molded from the precious metal clay, fired and then attached to rings I made from copper wire. I really enjoyed working with the copper clay and can't wait to make a start on some silver designs next week. I've bought a wee batch of supplies and want to create a silver version of the diamond ring as well as working on some other ideas. Watch this space to see how they turn out.
