Deskside Beauty.

By Maddy1704 @unstitchedd

Having been a working girl for the best part of last month, I feel like I know now the types of beauty products it is essential to have on your desk. Small enough to house in a little makeup bag, this bevy of products fits neatly in my bag and is easy enough to carry round, whilst satisfying all my beauty needs throughout the day.
Starting with the essentials, a hand sanitizer and hand cream are two products that I couldn't live without. Especially when traveling into London, and on public transport - I'm hoping that doesn't come off too snobby, I'm not, I promise - I think it is important to keep your hands clean and free from bugs, and I find my skin is in desperate need of some more moisture after tapping away at keyboards all day too. Finding the miniatures is always great for when your collection has to travel with you, and Soap and Glory's HandFood is my absolute favorite for keeping my fingers grease free but nourished too. Lip balm is also a must, the air condition saps more water from you than you may realise, and it really needs to be replaced. My Mojito and Lime lip balm is the nicest scent ever, and the thick waxy texture rescues dried lips instantly.
When working in an office, chances are I will also be wearing makeup, so a few products for touch ups is always nice to have too. In case I get oily during the day I like to have some of my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder with me, and a little Kabuki to apply it with, and then a spare of the lip product that I wore in the morning to top up as it wears off during the day. A little scent is always nice too, I like to keep a rollerball or two floating around to top up during the day, and refresh myself after the sickening stench of a rush-hour tube, recently, I've been loving my Ile D'Amour, which reminds of holidays by the beach, and can completely transform my mood.
Only the essentials, but it seems to cover me pretty well, and minimises back-breakingingly heavy bags too. What are your essentials when you are working?
