True Blood fans were sorry to see Russell Edgington meet his maker primarily because of the life and fun that Denis O’Hare brought to the character.  O’Hare has been steadily busy since then appearing in plays and movies along with the adoption of his son in his personal life.  Now O’Hare’s film ‘C.O.G.’ which co-stars fellow True Blood star Dale Dickey (Martha) and ‘Glee’sJonathan Groff, has been chosen as the feature film for Opening Night of Los Angeles’ Outfest, the LGBT Film Festival.  The 31st annual festival will kick off on July 11, 2013.  The movie is about a college graduate (Groff) who feels that in order to become a successful writer he must undertake in a cross-country road trip.  He winds up working at an apple farm in the North West and must adjust his perspective on life and come to terms with his lifestyle.

The movie is based on a short story from David Sedaris‘ book ‘Naked’ and is directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez.  For more information about Outfest, including how to get tickets, you can visit their website by clicking here.
