Democratic Fundraising Website Tops $1 Billion In Donations

Are Democrats enthused to vote in this midterm election? If contributions are an indicator, then the answer is a resounding YES!
ActBlue is a website that raises money for Democratic candidates, organizations, and causes. It makes donating money easy. A contributor can go to the website and donate money for several different Democrats without going to each candidates website, and ActBlue sends the donations to the candidates (or organizations / causes) that the contributor wants.
It took ActBlue 12 years to raise its first $1 billion dollars (from June 2004 thru March 2016). But the giving has already passed the $1 billion dollar mark for this election cycle alone, and the organization expects the total to climb to $1.5 billion by year's end. That's more than double the total raised in the 2016 election cycle. The donations come from 3.7 million people, giving an average donation of $34.
That tells me Democrats are enthused about this midterm election. I expect a record turnout this November. If that happens, there will be a "Blue Wave".
