I was invited last weekend by CP foods for their Food Tasting Session wherein their entire range of frozen and packaged foods were showcased. While there is a really large selection of non-vegetarian (mainly chicken) snacks which I did not sample, their vegetarian range is truly delightful despite being small. The expansion of the latter is on the anvil which is a good news for all the vegetarians out there:)
Specially curated for the Indian palette, I found the vegetarian snacks not only appetizing but also extremely flavorsome.
The “masaleydar aloo tikki” made with spicy potatoes mixed with coriander and green chillies is sure to be a hit with Indian kitchens. Perfect as a starter or an accompaniment to any meal, this is sure to get your taste buds tickling.
The “tasty veg burger patty” is yet another finger-licking snack and are crispy cutlets full of vegetables with a hint of spice. Making burgers at home could not get easier!
The “crispy cheezy jalapeno bites” were truly mouth watering with oodles of cheese and fresh jalapeno. With a coating of bread crumbs, they have the right amount of crunch making it a favorite with children and adults alike.
The “cheezy corn dino nuggets” were most inviting with the unbeatable combination of soft mashed potatoes, corn and luscious creamy cheese. This is sure to make your kids’ birthday party truly memorable!
My favorite were the “mini magic cutlets” that were delicious and totally balanced in terms of flavors. With mashed potatoes mildly seasoned with red chilli flakes and garam masala, this is definitely a winner.
Easy to use and available in convenient packs, these snacks are definitely great options when you just want to relax at home with a great meal or indulge your children or even throw a party. An insightful Live Cooking Demonstration by Chef Deepak, member of Research and Development, CP Foods India Pvt Ltd. was a perfect end to a great evening.
