Here's a closer look and review of the products inside this months Degustabox:

Cirio: There were two Cirio products in my Degustabox; the Cirio La Classica Passata and Cirio Chopped Tomatoes. Ever since I first tried Cirio La Classica Passata (in a previous Degustabox) I've been buying it regularly. It's just perfect as the base for home-made sauces. The chopped tomatoes are also a useful store cupboard ingredient and the Cirio brand has a lovely rich flavor.

Geeta's: I was also pleased to find two products from the Geeta's range; a Lime & Chilli Chutney and a Korma Curry Paste. The sauce sachet is a mild curry paste with coconut and exotic spices, and creates a delicious aromatic curry for two. The Lime & Chilli Chutney looks delicious and is a blend of 'kagzi' (paper thin) lime and fresh chilli.

Lorina Coconut & Lime: Lorina is a premium French lemonade brand that uses 100% natural ingredients and is free from any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. The idea of a coconut flavoured lemonade sounded too good to be true so I was excited to try this one. The reality was just as delicious as I was hoping and I think this may just be my new favorite drink! The coconut flavor is just so creamy and tastes delicious with the refreshing hints of lime. I hope I can find a local stockist because this is a delightful drink. The Snack Organisation Presents... Sweet Chilli Rice Crackers: These crackers are available in Tesco and Sainsbury's and come in three flavours; Lightly Salted, Sweet Chilli and Teriyaki. The base crackers have a similar flavor to rice cakes but with a much crunchier texture. The Sweet Chilli here is very strongly flavoured with a gorgeous combination of sweetness and chilli heat. They're extremely tasty and I'll certainly be buying them in future.
The Snack Organisation Presents... Freeze-Dried Apricots: There are four varieties in this range; Strawberry, Apricot, Apple and Pineapple.

My eldest son loves apricots, and especially dried apricots, so I was curious to see what he would think of a freeze dried version. Happily he really enjoyed them. They have a lovely natural fruity flavour, that is not too sweet, with a unique crunchy, yet light, texture.

Liberation Foods: Liberation is a Fair Trade nut company which is owned by small-scaled farmer co-ops in Africa, India and Latin America. Their mission is to change the world nut by nut by bringing nut producers and consumers of the world together so everyone gets a better deal. There are several flavours available; Fairtrade Oven Baked Salted Cashews & Peanuts, Fairtrade Oven Baked Chilli & Lime Cashews with Peanuts and Roasted Corn, and finally Fairtrade Oven Baked Mixed Peppercorn Peanuts with Cashews & Habas Fritas.

I received the Oven Baked Salted Cashews & Peanuts which are available at Waitrose. What I loved about these was the fact that the salty flavor has been added as a sort of glaze. That means that these nuts are salty without leaving a mess on your fingers. They're also not greasy at all, which is usually the case with salted peanuts. Another great product and I'll be looking out for more from this range.Naked Marshmallow Salted Caramel: Naked Marshmallows are hand made in small batches using natural ingredients. Last month's Degustabox also included a gourmet marshmallow brand which I really enjoyed so I was delighted to find another new brand to try. There are three marshmallows in the pack, each topped with salted caramel curls which gives them an impressive appearance. The texture is very light and creamy but unfortunately I found the flavor a bit too 'milky' for my tastes.Kabuto Noodles Chicken Ramen: Fresh tasting noodles with chicken, ginger, chilli, spring onion and coriander. This flavor is inspired by the chilli chicken ramen dishes of Japan and is made using quality ingredients without any additives or preservatives. My eldest son is a big fan of these noodles and I like the fact that he can enjoy them without any of the nasty ingredients of other pot noodles.9Bar Original Carob Hit: 9Bar is the Product of the Month in the October Degustabox. Each Original 9Bar is packed with nutritious sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and hemp seeds with a smooth carob topping. They're free from gluten, wheat, egg and yeast. I'm not really keen on seeds, I don't mind a few of them in muesli or cereal, but I don't like seed based bars. I'll be passing these along to a friend who I know is a big fan of 9Bar products.Chip Strips: These are a really fun snack! Each pack is full of long chip snacks (about 20cm!) that are very original as well as tasty. There were two flavours in the Degustabox; Sea Salt & Vinegar and Smokey BBQ.The actual base Chip Strips have a flavor that is similar to Pringles. They're light and crunchy and very moreish. My favorite variety was the Sea Salt & Vinegar as it's not too salty and has a natural tasting vinegar flavor. I would definitely buy these again.

The October Degustabox also included a full £2.00p voucher for President Butter which I'll be using on my next shopping trip. Overall, I enjoyed the selection in this months Degustabox, especially the great mix of useful grocery items and savoury snacks. My favourites this month were the Liberation Foods nuts, The Snack Organisation Rice Crackers, Chip Strips and of course the Lorina premium lemonade.
